Vashishtasana (inclined anantasana)

 



 

Stages

 

1. From prone pose or from standing pose acquire straight slant line pose (plank pose in sun salutation).
2. Roll the body on the left.
3. Keep the body straight and maintain balance in this pose.
4. Bend the right leg in the knee and grab the right toe with the right hand.
5. Straighten the right leg vertically up with the right hand. Gaze on the right toe.

Release and Repeat on the other side.

1. This balancing pose improves the nervous balance.
2. Strengthens the muscles of the arms, shoulders, and spine.
3. Tones the lower back and coccyx region of the spine.
4. Leg muscles become supple.

 

Precautions

 

Weak wrists & forearms, heart trouble, high BP.
